Program Theme

This year’s program theme is Changing Perspectives. The program is designed to balance the latest information with sharing of experience on topics that are of interest to the community. The 2022 DPA curriculum is built on the following topics: Research & Innovation, Advocacy & Networking, and Care & Allied Therapies.

First, a session is started with a landmark presentation by an expert in the field. Secondly, participants will listen to the local experiences regarding this theme, gaining a broader understanding of possible challenges and solutions. Lastly, all speakers will join the interactive panel discussion, setting the strategic path for the future. Participants will learn:

  1. How to make strategic decisions to scale up their organization
  2. Be updated on clinical research and developments
  3. Implement learnings from the advocacy community to enhance the lives of people with dystrophinopathy in their country
Poster Session

In addition to the interactive sessions, there will be a poster session where selected posters will be presented. We encourage patient representatives, researchers, academics, and healthcare professionals to submit a poster abstract. Poster submission is not limited to participants. More information on how to submit a poster abstract will be available soon.

We are looking forward to a fruitful Duchenne Patient Academy 2022, delivering high-quality and relevant skills training to Duchenne patient advocates.
